File Downloads & Internet Explorer

If you are downloading a file (example:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) from within your course website, you may be prompted to login a second time depending on the version of Internet Explorer you are using - Internet Explorer has tightened their security settings. 

To by-pass this second login, you can either save the file, then open it or click Cancel - you may have to do this more than once.  Alternatively, you can go to Internet Options (top right - click on the cog icon) and change your Security setting to Medium-Low and your Privacy setting to Medium.

FireFox and Chrome are not generating this second login.
